Morgan Stanley Hackers is a Google Group so that current and ex-hackers at Morgan Stanley can keep in touch. What is a Morgan Stanley Hacker? The following are the only criteria for joining the group:
- you worked at Morgan Stanley at some point in the past, or you currently work there
- you know what the “hackers” mailgroup is
- you want to keep in touch with your techie friends you met at work
I know that while inside the MS intranet, it’s not possible to log into a Google account (e.g. GMail). This applies to the Google Groups web-based interface, but aside from the frills of that interface, Google Groups works perfectly well via e-mail. Since this works entirely through e-mail, you can feel free to subscribe both your personal and work address to make sure you are always reachable.
